Privacy Policy
This policy explains what data Squill collects, why we collect it and how we handle it.
1. Information we collect
Account information: when you register we collect your name, email address and an encrypted password. If you sign in through a third-party provider, we receive the basic profile information that provider shares with us.
Connected channels: when you connect a social media or publishing channel, we store the authorization tokens the platform gives us so that we can publish content on your behalf. We only request the permissions needed to schedule and publish posts and to read the analytics the platform exposes.
Content: we store the posts, drafts, comments, images and videos you create or upload to Squill so we can schedule and publish them.
Billing information: payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number — we only keep a reference to your Stripe customer and subscription so we can manage your plan.
Usage data: we collect basic technical information such as log data and error reports to keep the service reliable and secure.
2. How we use your information
To provide the service: scheduling and publishing your content to the channels you connect, showing your analytics, and enabling collaboration with your team members.
To process payments, manage your subscription and free trial, and send you transactional emails such as receipts and important account notifications.
To improve the product: aggregated, non-identifying usage information helps us understand what works and fix what does not.
If you use the AI features, the content you submit for generation is processed by our AI providers solely to produce the requested output.
3. What we do not do
We do not sell your personal data.
We do not read or use your scheduled content for anything other than publishing it where you asked us to.
We do not post to your connected channels without an action from you or a schedule you created.
4. Data sharing
Social platforms: the content you schedule is transmitted to the platforms you choose under their own terms and privacy policies.
Service providers: we use trusted third parties for payment processing (Stripe), infrastructure and email delivery. They only receive the data needed to perform their service.
Legal requirements: we may disclose information if required to do so by law.
5. Data retention and deletion
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or disconnect a channel, the related authorization tokens are removed.
You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.
6. Cookies
Squill uses cookies that are necessary to keep you logged in and to remember preferences such as language and display mode. If analytics tools are enabled, they are used to understand aggregate usage.
7. Security
Passwords are stored hashed, traffic is encrypted in transit, and access tokens for your channels are stored securely. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data using industry-standard practices.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data. Contact us through the support page and we will help you exercise these rights.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes we will notify you through the app or by email. Continued use of Squill after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
